How do you sustain a close-knit, high performing culture as your company expands to meet the growing demands of your marketplace? How do you share leadership responsibilities with key staff as the organization grows? What do career paths look like when you don’t want a traditional hierarchical management structure?
These were the key questions that the principals of this successful engineering firm brought to MKConsulting.
We worked with all levels of this organization to design a growth strategy that kept the spirit of the original small team of professional engineers. Starting with an online assessment of the strategy, structure and culture of the organization, we conducted individual and group interviews. With that feedback, we designed and facilitated an all-day off-site where the principals and key staff developed their vision for going forward.
Long term goals and annual activities were integrated into a five year strategic plan. We identified “owners” for each key goal area, measurements for success, and timelines for completion. Progress towards the goals is reviewed on a quarterly basis with changes made as needed to make this a “living” plan.
